Hey there, I’m Nikodem! Let me take you on an incredible journey through my musical life.

It all began when I was just 7 years old, and my passion for drumming was ignited. It was my dad who introduced me to the basics, and within six months, he knew I needed more. That’s when he took me to private drum lessons. The beginning wasn’t all that exciting, to be honest. I found myself feeling a bit uninspired as the lessons seemed a tad dull. But little did I know, the best was yet to come when I met my third teacher, Paul Mallyon, the game-changer.

In our very first lesson, he asked if I wanted to dive into the exciting world of Rockschool grades, reading notes, and playing to music tracks. My excitement soared! Grade 1 threw some challenges my way – notes, music sub-frames, and precise timing – but I persevered. By Grade 2, I breezed through it in just three weeks!

After conquering Grade 3, I decided it was time to chart my own course and focus intensely on refining my technical skills. My dream was to become a metal drummer, just like my idols: the legendary Travis Orbin (Darkest Hour), the phenomenal Matt Greiner (August Burns Red), the mind-blowing Matt Garstka (Animals as Leaders), the unstoppable Jordan Mancino of As I Lay Dying, and the one and only Danny Carey (Tool).

And then, a lightbulb moment! I told my parents about my dream of having a YouTube channel, just like Matt and Travis, to share my drumming passion with the world. It marked the beginning of a whole new chapter in my musical adventure.

In 2020 and 2022, I had the privilege of learning from two fantastic drum teachers, Steven Farmer and Jim Farey, who played a pivotal role in honing my drumming technique. However, that was only the beginning of my musical evolution!

In 2022, something extraordinary happened. As a hardcore/metalcore lover and drummer, I decided to explore a whole new dimension by trying my hand (or should I say vocal cords?) at screaming vocals. One day, I got caught by my mum belting out “The Crownless King” by Killswitch Engage. But there’s more to this exciting chapter!

As a young drummer, I began exploring the world of deathcore – extreme drumming had officially begun, thanks to my idol, Austin Archey from the incredible band Lorna Shore, who ignited my obsession with extreme drumming. Fast forward to 2023, and I embarked on a new chapter with my drum teacher, Krzysztof Klingbein, to master the art of extreme drumming.

In March 2023, I made a duet with James Hetfield on the song If Darkness Had a Son. And guess what? Metallica actually shared our duet on their TikTok! It was an absolutely epic experience that I never even dared to dream about.

But that’s not all! Inspired by my vocal hero, Will Ramos from Lorna Shore, I decided to dive into the world of vocals. My parents, seeing my passion, connected me with the super-talented vocal teacher, Mateusz Sibila from Sibila Extreme Vocal. Since 2023, he’s been shaping me into a vocal powerhouse!
